Return to work and stay at work: Support for employees with mental illness

Mental health issues make up 30% of all disability claims and 70% of disability claim costs. They affect your organization’s bottom line and the productivity of your employees.

What are the signs and symptoms of mental illness in the workplace? How do you know when mental health struggles are the cause of poor productivity? How do you provide early support and prevent an absence? And what can you do to help an employee successfully return to work?

In this third session of our Healthy Workplace Series, we’ll share specific, practical strategies to help an employee return to work after taking time off because of mental illness. We’ll also outline ways to help the employee stay at work.

Our speakers:

Gillian Wells is a Mental Health Specialist at Manulife.
